So, I'm super emotional about the school year being over and just how fast time is going....therefore, I am obsessed with taking pictures of every moment. I know I'm bugging the kids by stopping them mid-play to take a picture, but I can't help myself. I'm also trying to be in the moment vs. being behind the camera...ugh, balance is tricky! This post has lots (too many) pictures of the last week or so. I think I need to post more often...
Last week, the kids were fighting and bugging each other so we took a trip to Inniswoods...at 8:00am!..It was one of those, "Everyone get your shoes on we are getting out of this house" moments. I love this park because there really isn't anything to do but walk around and explore!
Of course, right when we got there Maya pooped her pants. Ha! She hasn't done that in a LONG time. We went to the bathroom, cleaned her up and continued on our adventure!
I love how they were excited about the frog they saw and the many rollie pollies we came across.
Adam and Maya play really well together. I'm finding with the 3 that 3 IS a crowd. It seems these days 2 will play nicely, but when all 3 play, it usually ends in fighting with a lot of "it's not fair!".
Adam has been really good for me lately. I decided to treat him to some new legos for being a great listener and keeping me sane! Of course, Jack and Maya weren't thrilled about this, but they actually have been working hard to listen how Adam does.
Jack, Jack, Jack. So, Jack was bored the other day and found a way to entertain himself for awhile. He came downstairs dressed like a woman and Loved it! He then ran downstairs to get out my wedding dress. He was embarrassed with the pictures I took and made me promise to not put them on facebook...but he didn't say anything about my blog ;)
Adam then tells him that if he's a woman then he will have a baby and the doctor will cut it out of his stomach. Ha! The boys don't need to know where babies really come out of....
Maya has been a handful lately. We were at the Asian Festival last weekend and she threw the biggest fit! She was kicking, screaming and running away from us. I swear it looked like I was trying to kidnap her. It was SO embarrassing.
Maya, a skateboard and a chair. It wasn't pretty!
Papa John made his annual May trip to Columbus. We had a great time! I let the boys skip school on Wednesday so we could spend time together. We took the kids to the zoo (I think my dad had the most fun!) and then Papa John spoiled them at Toys R Us! Later that night I got a sitter and we went out to dinner...WITHOUT KIDS! Woo Hoo!
Here's a picture of Chad in Paris! He was in the UK last week. It was a long week...
The boys performed with the Black Tiger team at the Asian Festival.
We all had a great time...until Maya threw her HUGE fit.
It poured during the boys last baseball game. It was miserable! They played for 45 minutes until the Ump finally called the game. You can't really tell in this picture but they were soaked. We took our neighbor, Sammy, to that game.
(btw...YES I know Maya seat is unbuckled and NO I wasn't driving with my phone in my hand. We were still in the parking lot. Some blog people like to judge...:)
I can't believe I have 2 first graders! Sniff, sniff..
The boys at their last days of school celebration. Each class grew a garden and invited their families to tour them and spend some time in their classrooms. I missed Adam's performance with his class, but have several mommy friends that recorded it. I watched a video of the kids in Jack's class and bawled my eyes out! Music and pictures are a bad combo for us cry babies!
My cousin told me a quote she heard somewhere and it's so true..."The years go by so fast but the days are so long". So true! I'm just so thankful for my family and the life I live.
