It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Boy, we are READY for Christmas! The kids and our neighbor, Devon, all had a blast playing with the new Christmas tree train. Adam, who LOVES to build, took the presents and specifically placed each one to make tunnels for the train to go under.

First visit with Santa

I took the boys to see Santa at our local fire department. They were really excited to see Santa and I was excited to see what they would say they wanted. Jack is pretty consistent with his request for a dinosaur book. Adam keeps changing his mind. I thought he wanted a bow and arrow (which I found a plastic one for 5 bucks!), but now he says he want a lego starwars ship? I'm going to have to tell him he can't keep changing his mind....we don't Santa to get confused!

When we were there we ran into our new friend, Michael. Michael is a sweetheart and the boys LOVE playing with him. It's an extra bonus that he lives only a few houses away!

Oh, and the local newspaper asked for a picture with the boys on Santa's lap and asked if they could print their picture. Can't wait to see it!

Maya wasn't able to come. She's sick. Chad picked the kids up from church so I could go to the 11:00am service (I worked in the nursery at the 9am service). He attempted to take them to McDonalds so they could play for a bit. As he was ordering the food, Maya threw up! Then, when he got home she....well, let's just say, she didn't make it to the bathroom! I'm secretly glad I wasn't home for all of that! I'm hoping she is okay tomorrow.

Thanksgiving pictures

I didn't take very many pictures....so I'm hoping to post some better ones once my sister-in-law emails them.

Chad smoked the turkey in his new smoker. It was YUMMY!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a GREAT Thanksgiving! My dad flew in on Tuesday, my mom and her husband, and my brother's family all came to our house for a great holiday celebration! My brother, Andy, and his wife, Mandy, have 2 girls ages 5 and 2. The boys and Maya had so much fun playing with them. Erin and Jack are so much alike. They played, fought and told on each other the whole time. Maya and Mady are only 3 weeks apart and loved playing together. It was so cute to see the two little ones talking to each other. Today we had a baby sitter come watch the kids while the adults made it out for some shopping. We had a great visit and I'm already sad they're gone. I'll post pictures once I get them uploaded.

A few highlights!

We had a great trip home to Kansas City and Wichita. The drive was a bit long (total of 28 hours in the car!) but we are glad we got to see family and had time to relax.
