Let's start with Maya. Well, she's still ALL girl and loves to scream. She's going through this Dora phase. She loves anything girly and pink. If it's pink she seems to think it's hers, even when it's a pair of MY underwear! Her hair is still trying to grow. It just keeps getting longer in the back and the top's still short. Chad calls her our little caveman since she's decided that she doesn't want anything in her hair. I have to give her candy to get her to wear piggy tails. She talks a TON and repeats anything she hears. She also has been going in time out lately. It's funny how she sits in the corner and pouts. She's very dramatic and is constantly demanding things and bugging her brothers. She is the typical "little sister".
Jack has a few new habits. As some of you know, he's always had a few "tics". He use to have this nervous cough, then he whistled through his missing tooth, now he scratches his ankles and licks his hands. It's really bizarre how he comes up with these habits. As soon as we get out of the car or go outside Jack bends down to scratch the inside then the outside of his ankles. The hand licking thing Chad noticed. It's getting worse and it's also disgusting....especially when we went to the fair today and he kept licking. Yuck! Jack is still testing me with his potty words and gets soap in his mouth quite often. He loves his new leapster video game and gets to play it during "quiet" time instead of taking a nap...which the boys have sadly outgrown.
Adam has been FULL of questions lately. "Why isn't pee blue", "Why don't my hands have eyes", "Where do people go when they die", "Why does Maya have a 'gina", ...And no matter my answer he still says "Why". It's like groundhog day around here. Same questions, same answer, and repeat. Adam is still really in to "boy" stuff. He turns anything and everything into a gun, insists on wearing and having anything black and is truly a daddy's boy. When Chads around he doesn't want me....which I welcome! Adam loves music and has informed me that tv hurts his brain. Which isn't a problem unless I'm trying to keep Maya awake in the car and I need the DVD player on.
School starts the Wednesday after Labor day. We are all ready and excited to start. The boys will be going Mon/Weds/Fri in the mornings and Maya will start a 2 year old program in January. The boys are starting outdoor soccer this fall and will hopefully do swimming. I'd like to get Maya in to something, but we'll see.
We went to the fair today, so I'll try to post pictures later. Babysitter comes at 3:00 so Chad and I can go to the parade of homes....better go!
