Power Wheels

Our neighbor girls got a new power wheels for Christmas. The kids have so much fun riding around in style! It's hilarious to watch the difference between boys in a jeep and girls in a Barbie Cadillac.

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas. The kids were soooo excited for Santa to come. The boys woke up at 4:45 and came in our bedroom. We INSISTED they go back to sleep. Oddly enough they woke up at 7:45, which is really late for them! Once we all got up, we headed downstairs to see what Santa brought for everyone. Maya got a trunk full of princess dresses, tiaras, slippers and jewelry. Jack got several dinosaur books with 2 dinosaurs. Adam got some cowboy guns and an Indian bow and arrow. They were all super happy...especially since the "naughty list" was a big topic in our house these past weeks. After we all opened gifts and relaxed, we went to our friends house for a yummy dinner (thanks, Passalacqua's!)

Now we anxiously wait for Nana and Papa to arrive to celebrate with them. It's torture for the kids to know there are unwrapped presents under the tree.

Cookies for Santa

'twas the night before Christmas

Yay! Everyone got what they asked for!!

(again, my kids are always in underwear. Jack's new thing is to "get cozy" in his "white underwear".

Even Lola was a good girl this year!

The grand finale was taking the kids to the basement to see their "big" presents. Maya got her first vanity, which she LOVES. The boys got a huge bundle of Geo Trax trains. I was lucky enough to find them on craigslist for only 100.00. Thanks to Chad and Grandma Nancy for putting it together without instructions.

Merry Christmas! We are so blessed!

Grandma Nancy's visit!

We had a great visit with Grandma. I'm disappointed that I didn't take enough pictures. I didn't capture all of the times Grandma wrestled with the kids, took them for "horsey" rides on her back (yes, all 3 at once!), played with them in the playroom, chased them, etc...

Besides playing, we were able to be a part of the boys' preschool Christmas party, go see the zoo lights and make cookies for Santa.

Like mother, like daughter

This is what Maya's room looked like after she spent about 30 minutes playing in there by herself. What scares me is that this is what my bedroom looked like growing up. I am a slob by nature. I do try really hard to keep my house clean and organized, but I easily slip to my old ways. Anyone that knew me growing up, knew that room and car were ALWAYS a disaster! So, I am trying to teach the kids to pick up their toys as they play because I DO NOT was messy bedrooms! I can just see my mom getting some satisfaction out of this :)
