Congrats Tim and Jessi!

Our good friends, Tim and Jessi, got married this past weekend in Bend, Oregon. Unfortunately I couldn't make it, but I'm happy Chad and Patrick were able to be there. Doesn't Jessi look beautiful and happy?!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy day to all the moms out there. Chad and I actually celebrated last weekend since we knew he would be gone this weekend. Last weekend we took the boys to the park, played outside and took a walk, then went out to dinner. The boys (Chad, Adam & Jack) gave me flowers and a new watch!

Today, I celebrated with Gwen and her family. Gwen and Ron treated the boys and I to a yummy breakfast at First Watch. Afterwards, we went back to their house and the boys got to play with Eve and Emmett. After lunch we headed home.

I attempted to put the boys down for a nap but was interrupted with the tornado sirens. I had to take the boys to the basement for about 30 minutes. Adam was in heaven looking at all of the new stuff he could get into. Jack was grumpy because he wanted to take a nap.

The rest of our day will consist of watching movies. Since it's wet and cold outside we are going to stay in. The boys are really in to movies lately. Adam's favorite is "Cars" and "Shrek" and Jack's is "Stuart Little", "101 Dalmatians" and "Toy Story". Sometimes I'm not sure what all they understand, but it's funny when they laugh out loud at certain scenes.

Change

I have recently discovered that I have control over the colors and text of my blog. I seriously could spend hours changing the layout. So this is to warn you that you may see it change frequently, though, I do like the new layout I made.

2 Terrible Twos and 1 on the way!

I'm pretty sure the "terrible twos" have hit. Overall, the boys are good, but there are new behaviors that are quite frustrating. Lots of taking toys from one another, pushing, hitting, testing and just plain naughty behavior. I need to find a discipline technique that I can be consistent with and that works.

On the flip side, they both are going through a lovey (clingy) stage. Every day at 4:30 Jack seems to have a melt down. He wants me to hold him and carry him. Also, they are competing for my attention. If Jack climbs on my lap then Adam climbs up too.

Poor Maya, she is constantly getting beat up. Between me poking at her to get her to move and the boys sitting on her she'll probably be a tough little girl when she arrives. I'm hoping the boys are lovey to her. We'll see. I'm anticipating a daily battle with me telling them "easy", "be nice to Maya", "touch softly".

I love the above picture. Since the boys have the freedom being in twin beds they like to switch it up. Everyday they change beds. They either switch in the night, get in bed together or choose the opposite bed they took their nap in. I'm surprised they don't prefer one bed and stick to it? Hey, as long as they are happy and sleeping well, mommy's happy!
