Finally a new year! 2007 was a great year for the Moorefield's. The boys celebrated their 1st birthday, Chad got a promotion and we moved to Columbus, and we have so many great new friends! We all are healthy and happy and excited for a new year to begin.
2008 will be more fun and hectic than ever. As most of you know, we are expecting the LAST Moorefield to our family. As of today I am 9 weeks pregnant and the baby is due August 14. This addition was a huge surprise to us, but after lots of time of freaking out, we are finally excited. More importantly, there is only 1 baby this time!! This will be a whole new and hopefully easy experience for us.
This year will consist of potty training 2 boys, moving from cribs to "big boy beds", decorating a nursery, bringing home a new baby, sleepless nights, lots of family visiting (as often as possible :), fun with friends, continued success with Chad's job, and Lot's of happy days in the Moorefield house.
Adam and Jack are getting so big and are doing the funniest things lately. Adam's new thing is to kiss everyone. Any friend (between kids their age or friends my age) that comes over he tried to kiss. Lola gets wet ones on her nose, but mostly Jack is his first choice. Adam puckers up and gets right in his face. Jack will sometimes kiss back, but usually he just laughs. Adam has also discovered his shadow. He will find it and walk back and forth trying to figure out what it is that's following him. Both of the boys love Baxter. Poor Baxter gets pounded on all day long. I think he secretly likes it because he will lay right in the middle of them. Chad is trying to teach them how to be "easy" and just pat Baxter. Then the boys will go up to Chad and pat his head. It's so funny.
Jack loves dogs. He walks around the house saying "doggie". He not only says doggie all day but he also "woofs" like a doggie. He especially likes to chase Lola, which she gets scared about, and he likes to yell at Lola. He can get a little bossy! Both boys like to run everywhere now, they like to watch Shrek movies, drink out of straws, have their shoes on, chase each other then push each other down (which usually ends with someone in tears), throw their food on the floor, hit, take each others toys, give hugs and read stories.
Chad and I are good. Chad has been on vacation this week, which has been great. Though we had big plans of cleaning the basement, we have really just hung out with the boys. I have started watching my friends little girl once a week now. It's great because it's a guaranteed play date once a week. She's a couple months younger than the boys and she can definitely hold her own with them. We have decided to spend the money I make on a cleaning person. Someone who comes every other week to clean sounds like heaven!!!
