Halloween and Aruba!

We had another great Halloween!  Grandma Nancy was able to celebrate with us since she was going to be staying with the kids while Chad and I went to Aruba!  The kids had classroom parties and then went to Koguryo for a party.  Trick-or-treating wasn't so great.  It was cold and rainy.  The boys were fine but Maya made me carry her.  We only stayed out for about 45 minutes.  Last year the kids stayed out for 2 hours.  

Island time, baby!  Chad and I were able to take a quick vacation to Aruba.  This was my first time leaving the kids.  I was nervous about leaving the kids, not because I was worried about them, I was worried about me.  This was the first time I've been on an airplane in 5 years!  Needless to say, it was a great trip.  We were able to relax and spend time together!  

Major thanks to Grandma Nancy who did a WONDERFUL job taking care of the kids, dog, cat and house.  Even though the kids got sick and had fevers and threw up, Jack lost his lovey, and Lola refused to eat, she held it all together.  Thanks, Nancy!

Catching up...

We took the kids on our annual trip to Kings Island with the Zaczepinskis.  It was the perfect weather and we all had a blast!  Even Adam, who is not very adventurous, went on a roller coaster!

We went scary with our halloween decorations this year.  As of now, I think Jack is going to be a pirate, Adam a ninja, and Maya a witch.  

This is what I found when I left the kids to sort the laundry!  At least they were having fun while doing chores.

Maya has started gymnastics and absolutely loves it!  She has so much more fun doing gymnastics than ballet.  

I found Adam sleeping with his black and red Santa hat.  Looks like someone is excited for Christmas!

Maya had a class field trip to Hidden Creek Farms.  It was a great day and I loved watching her interact with her classmates.

Everyone snuggled in front of the tv this evening.  We all have sore throats and coughs.  I'm hoping tomorrow is  better...

Yay!  The boys won their championship game!  During the entire season their team...um....wasn't the best.  But they won all of their playoff games!  The boys are super excited about getting their first big trophy.

The other day the kids and I camped in the backyard.  It was actually a lot of fun.  We headed to the tent around 9:30.  The kids usually go to bed around 8, but I wanted them to be good and tired.  We got in the tent and goofed around for about 30 minutes until they all fell asleep.  Next time I promised we'd make s'mores...
