"Here kitty, kitty, kitty"
Well, Baxter is missing. He has been gone since (we think) Sunday night. The boys and I spent our whole day yesterday walking the neighborhood looking for him. We talked to neighbors to see if they have seen him. Fortunately, my neighbor Courtney, said her husband said there was a cat on his car last night. I'm hoping it's Bax. I'm going to take pictures of him around the neighborhood today. Let's hope we find him.
I stated on my last post that we were lucky Adam wasn't sick. Well, he is now. Both boys are fighting colds. With all of the recalled infant cold medication I'm sorta freaked out giving them medicine. They both have coughs and stuffy/snotty noses. They both slept through the night last night, which makes today better already.

Naughty but nice
Boy, Monday seems to come so quickly. Though we had a good weekend, some of us were sick with a cold. It hit me on Friday and left by Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately for Jack, his cold is sticking around. His little nose is so runny and he has a cough. Surprisingly, Adam seems to be fine (as of now.) I'm thinking our colds are due to the weather change. I love the colder weather and am so ready to start decorating for Christmas!
Well, my sweet little boys are turning into rough and tough big boys. Jack's new thing is to walk behind Adam and put his hands on his shoulders to push him down. Once Adam is down, some times laughing, mostly crying, Jack will lay on top of him. Jack is playing, but I can tell by the look on his face that he knows he's being naughty. Adam's thing is to hit Jack with his toys. He will walk right up to Jack and hit him with the toy he's playing with. And when he's not hitting, he's throwing. So we have officially entered a new stage with the boys, and they are keeping Chad and I on our toes!

Fall is here!
Again, sorry it's been so long. We have been having a great end of the summer. The boys have been enjoying the last days of the warm weather by playing outside. Now that they both walk, they love to explore the outdoors. Jack likes to test me by walking down the driveway almost into the alley way. He knows he's not to go that far, but he likes to make sure I'm watching him. Adam still likes to crawl, which is annoying because as most of you know we have black top on our driveway. We have lots of dirty hands and knees. As the weather cools down, we snuggle up in the wagon with blankets and go for our walks with Lola.
Poor Lola, she's so fat. I have a new rule with her that she has to stay out of the kitchen when the boys are eating. Especially Adam likes to feed her. Lola will just sit and watch patiently until I say "okay" and she eats all of their droppings. Secretly I like that she does my sweeping for me. I also keep Lola behind the gate upstairs when the boys are eating a snack. Though, the boys now walk to the gate and give Lola crackers. I guess she'll just be fat until I can teach the boys to not feed her.
We had an awful night last night with Jack. He is getting his 2 top molars in. He woke up 4 times and insisted that I rock him. I didn't mind the rocking but it was the part where he woke every time I tried to put him down. Gladly Adam didn't wake during all the commotion. Adam is also getting his molars but it doesn't seem to bother him as much.
We are all anxious to go home for Christmas. The boys and I leave Dec.16th and come home Dec.29th. We are planning on going to Wichita the first part of the trip and then up to K.C. for Christmas and the few days after. We don't have any plans for Thanksgiving as of now. Of course we would always love to have some out of town guests, hint, hint. I'm getting sorta home sick for family.
Anyways, all is well in Ohio. We still have great friends that we play with. I feel truely blessed to have met a great group of friends so quickly. Not a day goes by where we are bored.

Baby-sitting our favorite twins!
Today I had the pleasure of watching Eve and Emmett for a few hours. We all had so much fun. We had snacks, played with all of the toys, watched a little t.v. (sorry Gwen) then ventured to the hall cabinet for a change of scenery. Though Eve and Emmett did have fun, they kept looking for their mommy. And when their daddy came, oh boy, were they excited! Jack loved having friends over. He even shared his baby with Evie! And Adam had many conversations with Eve. Again, I'd love to know what they all were talking about!

"Mommy said no!"
These boys sure do like to test me. I am already starting to struggle with discipline. I know, already?!?! For example, today Jack decided to remove the pillow blocking the pathway to the back of the t.v. cabinet. He knows this is "off limit" territory, yet he still can't resist the temptation. I go to the computer to check my email and literally 2 seconds later Jack and Adam are behind the t.v. After repeating "no, no, no" and dragging them out, I decided to "spy" on them. Sure enough, Jack goes right back to pulling the pillow out. I grab him, sit him in time out, and expect him to quietly sit there, assuring me he will never do that again. Instead, he laughed hysterically, thinking this new game I'm playing with him is great!
Another "fun" game the boys like to play is taking the phone behind the couch. If I accidentally leave it out they will hide behind the couch and start pushing the buttons. Once I finally get the phone back, the boys just chuckle. The phone and the Desitin tube and the two "off limit" items they love to get their paws on.
I better start reading some discipline book!

We're Back....
I know, I know, it's been too long. I'm still trying to get back to my regular schedule since being home from Kansas City. As most of you know, we took a family trip to Kansas City. We had a great time, seeing family and just relaxing. Chad left us a few days early, so the boys and I flew home alone. To my surprise it was quite easy flying with them myself. I'm thrilled because now I have the confidence to travel with them more often.
Well, let's see, what's new with the boys. Adam is now walking. He still favors crawling, but will walk throughout the day. Jack will now say "fffff" when we ask him what a dog says. Both the boys know where their nose and ears are. Though I have found whenever I ask them to show me with people around they ignore me. Adam loves to shake his head "yes", which makes me happy because the last few months all he liked to do was shake his head "no." Oh, and Jack will give kisses with his lips puckered and all. Adam still tries to just suck your face off. Both boys are still talking in their baby talk. Today Adam had a full on conversation with Evie and Baxter. I'd love to know what he is saying.
