Nana's Visit

Nana came to visit us last week and stayed for 5 days. We had a great time. Though we didn't do anything too exciting, it was nice to have the company and help with the kids. We ate out a couple of times, went to get ice cream, shopped and played outside. Very relaxing!

Now we have another 3 weeks until school starts. We are planning a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge next weekend. It's our last fun summer activity until our days are filled with school, soccer and AWANA (Wednesday night church).

Jack rides his bike!

The other day Jack decided it was time to ride his bike like a big boy! For the past 2 weeks we let him "ride" his bike without training wheels and without pedals. This taught him how to balance on his bike while he scooted around on it. He got the hang of balancing right away so we put his pedals back on. He just jumped on his bike and took off! Adam has never been too excited about his bike, but he's learning his balance and I bet by the end of the summer he'll be riding like Jack!

Day before Maya's 2nd birthday!

Maya had a great birthday this year. The day before she received a package from Grandma Jenny. Naturally, I couldn't have her wait to open her gifts so I let her tear into her presents. She was soooo happy. Pom-poms, high heals, purses and clothes. Everything a girl could want. I think Jack liked the heals the best. He has since claimed the red Snow White ones as his.

Birthday Morning!

The morning of Maya's birthday was so much fun. She woke to a new wooden baby cradle and high chair from Nana. She loves it. She put Dora and Boots in right away. She even tried the cradle out for herself! The boys loved helping her open all of the gifts, which surprisingly, she was okay with.

Birthday Lunch

We took Maya to lunch at Mimi's Cafe. She was so proud that it was her birthday and I made sure to tell EVERYONE!

Party Time!

Maya had a shared birthday party with her friends Maddie and Lena. Jen and I had our girls the same day, same hospital, just a few hours apart. We have become good friends and decided to have a party together. We rented this playland place where the kids could run wild! It was Dora themed which was a big hit.

More presents!

After the party we came home and let Maya open all of her presents. She was in Heaven! She got so many Dora toys and girly jewelry and purses. I'm pretty sure Maya had a great birthday!

I can't believe my little girl is going to be 2 tomorrow. Why does time have to go by so fast???
