Harris Family! (30 photo's below...sorry!)

A couple of weeks ago my family and my brother's family all drove to Kalamazoo for my grandma Harris' 90th birthday. My dad also flew in from Kansas City. And, since my mom and her husband live there, it was a great time to get together and celebrate our grandma and our families. Thanks again, to my sister-in-law who took ALL of the pictures. Thanks, Mandy!!!

I'll break down my post by: family photo's, dinners, mom's farm and hotel...

Window Seat!

I love, love, LOVE, my new window seat! The kids love it, too. We can fit so many more people (kids) around the table now. I plan on eventually getting a custom cushion for the top of the bench, but for now I'll leave it.

So Excited!

OMgosh, my life has changed forever. Why, you wonder? Well, I finally hired a cleaning service! They (5 people) came yesterday and cleaned my house from top to bottom for 7 hours. That was the mac daddy clean and now they will come every other week to maintain what they did. It's amazing! My shower looks new, my light fixtures are crystal clean and walls/doors/baseboards that I thought needed painted don't....they just needed a good wipe down! It is worth every penny!

The other thing I am excited about is that my bench is finally done. I have wanted a custom built in bench in my bay window area in the kitchen forever. Chad finally agreed (after a year of persistence on my part) that I could go ahead and have it done. I bought a new kitchen table and chairs, too. I'll post pictures soon!

I will also post pictures of our trip to Michigan. My dad and brother and his family met us in Kalamazoo for my Grandma Harris' 90th birthday. Since my mom and her husband already live there, it was the perfect time for all of us to get together. I was in heaven seeing my two awesome nieces playing with my kids. It had been too long since we have all gotten together. Thankfully we are planning on a Thanksgiving gathering. I'll post pictures of our trip soon. My brothers wife, Mandy, took tons of great pictures. Thanks, Mandy!!!

Since the boys are out school, I signed them up for summer camp this week and next week. They go Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9-12. They are having a lot of fun and coming home whipped! I'm glad I signed them up, but it will be nice to have our days completely free. I'm getting excited to start going to the YMCA pool, too. I loved taking the kids last summer and it was surprisingly easy to take all three. This year will be even more easier! Yay!

Last day of school

Adam and Jack's last day of school was a week ago. The parents got to come to class to watch the kids as they were presented with special memory books from their teachers. Each child received a special book of pictures the teachers took thru out the year. It was pretty emotional watching the kids "graduate" from their first year of preschool. Wow, time goes by WAY too fast!

Preschool art show

The boys had a school art show a few weeks back. They each had some pieces on display, which they were really excited about.

RIP Fish

The boys' fish died today. I knew it was coming. He was getting old and had a fungus on his back. We've had him for over 2 years! I told the boys he died and Jack suggested I give him a bandaid...so innocent. Now they want to know where the fish is. Do I tell them I flushed him?

Happy Mother's Day!

Today the kids were dedicated at our church. They all did really well being on stage and standing still. Dedication is basically saying we will raise our children to be followers of Jesus. Jack kept saying he wanted "decorations". I kept correcting him, but he had it in his mind he was getting decorations! After church, we went to brunch with our friends Tim, Jessi and Sophie. Now, we are planning on going to the nursery this afternoon to get some flowers for the front. We've been procrastinating this for way too long!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there!

13.1

My friend Jen and I ran our 2nd annual half marathon last weekend. Our goal was to just finish, but we were able to beat our last years time!

Nana's Visit

We have had a busy last week or so. Nana came to visit us last week and left yesterday. The boys and Maya were so excited to play with her all week long. We did try to do some shopping, we went out to eat, got stuff done around the house and went to the zoo. I think the highlight of Nana's visit (for the boys) was us getting out Chad's old Star Wars toys. Adam especially loves them. When we dropped Nana off at the airport, Adam told me he misses Nana. So sweet. Now, we are hopefully going to plan our trip to KC. Thinking about flying in August maybe...

...I didn't take too many pictures... I'll post the ones I have soon...

All about Maya!

I'm so in love with Maya. She is so much fun and always keeps me on my toes. She loves her brothers and follows them around everywhere! She screams "daddy" when he walks in the door and every morning I wake to her pleading, "Mommy, Help!" as she begs to get out of her crib. She loves her shoes and often sleeps with them on. I love how Maya is always a mess, with a dirty face and messed up hair. She's so sweet when she make sure to say "nite-nite" to Adam and Jack and waves to random strangers. She screams her head off every time she get in the car to get buckled and throws the biggest fits in parking lots because she can't walk like her brothers. She like to bug Adam and wrestle with Jack. Maya is such a joy to this family and we all love her soooooo much!
