Ha, Ha, Ha!

Maya had her first giggles today. It was so cute. I was holding her above my head pretending she was an airplane. She kept smiling big then shared a laugh. My heart melted! She's growing so fast. I just cleaned her summer clothes out of her closet. I can't believe my baby girl is growing out of some of her clothes.

The boys and I took advantage of the last nice fall day. It was warm and in the 70's. We made a huge leaf pile. We ended up raking our neighbors yard to get enough to jump in. Adam especially enjoyed throwing leaves and Jack liked running through them. It was a great day!

She's a keeper!

I got Maya this cool new seat. It's just her size and I love the versatility of it.

And she loves being able to interact with her brothers too!

The boys were so cute sharing their new toys with their sister. I think they finally have realized that she is here to stay!

Of course, Jack liked that fact that he could share if he wanted and he could take the toys back when he wanted also. Maya doesn't put up a fight....yet.

November is here

Wow, November is here! Why is it that time goes by so fast? I can't believe Maya is 3 months old and the boys are well on their way to being 3! I've been enjoying all of the kids and I'm extremely happy that things are settled and it feels like we've been a family of 5 for a long time. Oh, family of 7, can't forget Bax and Lola.

Speaking of Baxter, he's officially an indoor/outdoor cat. I found that when I got the boys out the door and turned around to grab Maya's car seat, he would sneak out. Of course, instead of leaving all three children unattended, I'd just let him stay outside until he came back. Now, I let him out if he's by the door and he usually stays within a few houses of ours. His consequence for being an outdoor cat was getting 3 shots (rabies, and 2 others) and regular flee prevention. Remember my post a while ago when Baxter went missing and I posted flyer's all over my neighborhood? What a waste of time...

Adam and Jack are doing great. They are talking more and have discovered the excitement of M&M's. They are the best bribe. Like when I'm calling them and they run the opposite way, I just say "who wants Chocey"! And they come running. Yes, chocolate is chocey. Everything they say has a "y" at the end of it. Like when Adam cries "Boxey" he simply wants a "juice box". Their doctor says they are right on track for talking, but we are watching them carefully;) Or when we are in a public place and they yell "sucky!", they are just wanting a sucker (so embarrassing.)

Maya is such a cutie! She smiles and talks all of the time! I thought she might have acid reflux because she was spitting so much, but the doctor informed me that she is a "happy spitter". So between many, many wet bids and several outfit changes during the day, she's a very low maintenance baby.

Can't believe the election is almost over! Finally! Jessi, Maya and I waited in line for 3 1/2 hours today to vote. Besides hoping the candidate I voted for wins, the best part of voting is the sticker they give you. Free Starbucks on Nov.4th for those who voted! Just show them your sticker. No, seriously, I hope everyone gets out there and does their part by voting.

Halloween!!

The boys had a fun Halloween. Even though tomorrow is actually halloween, our neighborhood had "trick-or-treating" today. Yesterday we carved all the pumpkins and make chocolate cupcakes with halloween sprinkles. Adam was very interested in the carving pumpkins activity, Jack on the other hand really didn't care.

Both the boys liked wearing their costumes. Adam loved his skunk costume so much that Chad had to practially tear it off him to put his p.j.'s on. They are now asleep after having a major sugar high. I kept catching Adam with a different candy in his mouth, so I'm not sure how much he actually ate. And Chad caught Jack hiding behing the couch eating a peanut butter cup.

Maya was super cute in her cow outfit. We have an older couple that lives across the street, so they held Maya while Chad and I took the boys to get some candy. I attempted to get a picture of all the kids, but you know how well that always goes.

Almost there...

I'm still trying for a good picture of all the kids together. In these pictures, I was trying to pose the kids while Lorraine was bribing them with M&M's. I'm hoping with all of these "practice" pictures our Christmas picture turns out okay. I think I'm going to need professional help!

Still trying...

I can't seem to get a good picture of the boys with Maya. I'll try again when Lorraine gets here next week. Chad's going to London next week, so Nana is coming to save the day (and my sanity!)

Doctor's Visit

Maya had her 2 month check up today. She is a whopping 9 lbs 10 oz! She's also 21.75 inches, which makes her 25 percentile for height and weight. She's so petite! The funny thing is that she also has a small head, which is 15 percentile. Maya was a champ taking her shots. She took 5 total in her legs. Though she cried hard, she more complained and "baby bitched" afterwards. The nurse was convinced she was cursing her!

The worst part of the doctor's visit was that Adam started yelling "no" as soon as we pulled up to the building. He wasn't convinced he wasn't the one getting shots until we left the office and he was buckled in the car. Jack really didn't care we were there as long as I kept bribing him with suckers. I have a feeling when we go back for their flu shots it's going to be traumatic.

Save the ta-ta's!!!

Jessi and I ran a 5K this morning to help bring awareness about breast cancer. Remember, it all starts with early detection. Any woman over the age of 40 should be getting a yearly mammogram. For more infomation go to www.cancer.org.

10 naughty things the boys did today...

1. Put the dog food in the dog water
2. Threw the cat food on the floor
3. Put stickers on the t.v.
4. Rolled the pumpkins off the front step
5. Hit each other several times
6. Took Maya's binky out of her mouth
7. Gave their hotdogs to Lola
8. Dumped my cup of water on the floor
9. Put rocks in their mouths
10. Knocked on the neighbors door then ran

You'd think I wasn't watching them, but I was. I swear I feel like all I say is "NO" all day long! 1 hour and 40 minutes until my "sweet babies" go to bed! TGIF!

I'm 8 weeks old!

Boy, time flies when you sleep all (most) of the time! I can't believe I'm 8 weeks old. Mommy keeps telling to stop growing so fast, but I can't help it when I make her feed me every 2 hours. She keeps telling me that I can't possibly be hungry again, but I am! I like to snack during the day instead of filling up on full bottles. I've heard six small meals a day help you keep a girlie figure.

My days are filled with me and my brothers doing fun activities together. I mostly sit back and watch, well actually, I sleep during this time. I can't seem to stay awake for more than 2 hours. Mommy's good at propping my bottle up while I'm in the car, or stroller, or even the bouncy seat. She's always saying what a good "multi-tasker" she is, whatever that means. I let her play with my brothers most of the time and only demand her attention when I need food or have pooped my diaper. Okay, sometimes I do want her to hold me and talk to me. I especially like it when she talks to me in the morning. I seem to be in the best mood of the day when I wake from a full night sleep.

Speaking of sleep, I'm a really good night sleeper. I don't like to brag, but I only wake once to be fed. I don't even cry. I sorta grunt and mommy comes running! I really have her trained. Sometimes mommy is so tired that she will shut her eyes when she's feeding me and my bottle ends up in my ear. When she wakes, she says sorry and puts it back it my mouth. I love to be swaddled really tight, and prefer a binky when I can't quite get to sleep. If I have a hard time falling asleep I like to scream my head off, then pass out.

Being 8 weeks old is great. I don't have a schedule, I do what I want, and my mommy will jump through hoops to get me to stop crying. It's really funny. She keeps saying something about me sleeping in my crib for naps. I don't have the heart to tell her that I won't. She keeps trying to put my in there, but again, I cry and she comes running. Good mommy. I love my bouncy seat when it vibrates and especially love it when mommy gives it a little extra bounce. She usually knows to not stop bouncing until I'm asleep.

Anyways, I love my mommy, daddy and brothers a lot. I also really like the big furry animal everyone yells at, named Lola, and the grey furry thing that sniffs me often after I have a bottle. Life is good and it will only get better!

Poor Lola

No, it's not halloween yet. Lola is wearing the cone for a minor injury. Lola cracked her dewclaw and had to have it trimmed to the blood vessle. She has to wear the cone so she doesn't lick her paw. She's a little embarrassed of the cone but adjusting well. Adam put a sticker on it to make it pretty. It should be off in 5-7 days.

Adam and his quirks...

As many of you know, Adam has a weird phobia of walking on cracks. Sometimes when we are walking on the outside sidewalks he will stop at a crack and either crawl over or ask to be picked up. At first it was cute, now I'm wondering how long he will be scared of these cracks. We went to the mall this morning and he was almost impossible. (I put Maya in the stroller and have the boys walk beside me....in case you were wondering how I did it with all 3 kids.) He kept stopping because the floor would change from carpet, then tile, then wood floor. This has happened at the zoo when the sidewalk turned to a wood walkway and the library when he came across a water puddle on the sidewalk.

Another thing Adam has started doing is showing me his book and saying "it's stuck." He wants the pictures on the book off. Today he handed me a book that had a picture of candy and he was frustrated because he couldn't get the candy off. I'm wondering if his depth perception is off? Anyways, I love watching them learn and try to understand their world.

Oh, and at the mall today, the boys played in the play area and Adam kissed a little girl. He walked up to this little girl who was watching him play and he puckered up and she leaned in for a kiss. It's was sweet, innocent and little awkward. Watch out ladies...
