It's up!
Here is a pic of our new fence. We still need to stain it white when the weather gets warmer. I'm so happy with it. Now I don't have to worry about the boys running in the alley. We are still waiting for out patio chairs to arrive, which should be coming in the next couple weeks. Once the weeds are pulled and the flowers are potted the yard will be finished. I can't wait to enjoy it!

Ahhhh, 75 and sunny!
I love spring! Today it was 75 and gorgeous out. Courtney and I took the kiddo's to the local park. They all had so much fun. We took a long walk in the woods, played on the jungle gym, went down the slide, had juice boxes and cookies. They were in heaven. The down fall?....Dirty, dirty, boys. Head to toe filthy. Typical boys.

Where have I been??
Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted. Since the weather is getting warmer, the boys and I are trying to be outside as much as possible. Which means less time for me to be on the computer. Also, the boys are so interested in the computer that ever time I try to get on it they come over and try to climb on my lap or press on the keyboard. Okay, enough of my excuses. Do you forgive me?
We have been busy over here. We had the last of our guests a week ago. Bob and Nancy came for a week. We had a good time. We played cards, bowled on the Wii, played outside and did house projects. Not too exciting, but it was nice for them to see the boys and for Bob to see our new house. Now that Skybus is no longer around, I know our visits will be more limited. It was nice while it lasted.
I'm so excited to FINALLY say I am getting my fence. I know I've been talking about this so called "fence" forever. Well, the posts are cemented in and it should be finished by Saturday. Of course, Saturday calls for rain... Trying to watch the boys outside is quite a challenge. With our driveway backing up to the alley and the boys running in opposite directions, it's too much to handle. Especially when I want to sit in a chair, soak up some rays and drink a lemonade ;)
The boys are so much fun lately. Jack is still my talker. He's always "talking" about something. He likes to repeat words I say and like to count up to number 4. Adam is still my physical boy. He's always mimicking me and very active. His favorite word is "car". Everything is "car". I asked Jack his name the other day and he said "Jack". I asked Adam his name and he said "car". It was so cute.
The baby is doing great. When I was pregnant with the boys, I felt mostly kicks from them. Clearly, they didn't have as much room as the baby does. But the baby is not only kicking me, she's doing gymnastics in there! Chad and I have a name that we are 95% sure on. It's Maya Kate. It's always such a big decision on the official name, but so far that's the name we like the best. Her nursery is finished, in my mind, of course. I have bought all the decorations, bedding, accessories, and paint. Now, I just need to do it. I'll post pictures as soon as I am finished.
Nothing else is really new. Chad's job is going well. He hasn't been traveling as much lately and has been getting home in time to see the boys and play before bedtime. As for me, well, I'm 30. That's right the big 3-0! I love it. I love that I have a great husband, 2 boys, baby girl on the way, dog, cat, fish, wonderful home, ...... I could go on and on about how blessed I am and love where I'm at in my life.

It's a GIRL!
I had my ultrasound today, and the boys are going to have a baby sister. I'm really excited. The doctor said she was petite and looked really healthy. Gwen said she will scan the pictures of her and I will post them as soon as I can. (thanks Gwen!)

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter everyone! The boys are having a great morning playing with all of their toys from the Easter Bunny. Unfortunately, the Easter Bunny only gave the boys one school bus, and surprise, surprise, they are fighting over it. Next year the "bunny" will have to remember that almost 2 year olds do not share and will have to give 2 of everything. Once the boys wake from their afternoon nap we will head outside for some fresh air.
We had a great visit with Lorraine and Brooke. The boys were in heaven playing with Brooke. The weather wasn't that great, but we did get to play outside once or twice. Next week we are having Bob and Nancy come for a visit. Though I do like having a small break in between visitors, I'm so excited for them to come. I'm hoping it will be nice weather when they come. I have some outdoor projects for Bob (if he's willing:).
Just to let you know, I go to the doctor on Thursday for an ultrasound. I will be finding out the baby's gender. I'll post as soon as I find out. For those grandparents reading this, don't worry, you'll get a phone call first. Yes, Lorraine, as soon as I leave the doctors office:) I don't have a feeling of a boy or girl. Girl would be nice and different, but a boys would fit in perfectly and I have TONS of boys stuff. We'll see.

So Big!
Yesterday, I got a wild hair to convert the boys' cribs to toddler beds. All morning the boys kept climbing in their new beds, jumping around, and having fun. Once nap time came, they went right in their beds and were fast asleep. They did great! They woke peacefully, sitting in their beds waiting for me. Now, nap time was perfect, but I was scared for bedtime. To my surprise, it went perfectly, too! They didn't get out of their beds once. When Chad went to bed, he opened their bedroom door and put up a gate in the doorway. Though I didn't sleep well, (anticipating some kind of chaos), the boys sleep through the night. In the morning, Adam woke and was walking around in his room. When Jack woke, the gate was down so he came right to the couch with his baby and blanket. Let's hope all the following nights go as well.

Snow day!!
Yes, we did get dumped on! I'm not sure how many inches total, it's still going strong. We attemped to let the boys play in the snow. Jack would venture a few feet out of the garage. Adam wasn't so sure. I did get a few pictures, but none turned out very good. Of course, Lola, enjoyed the snow the most! Next year we will be better prepared with boots, snow bibs and a sled.

"bye-bye, daddy"
I'm so excited that my mom and her husband are coming to visit on Friday! They will drive 5 hours from Michigan so see us. Unfortunately, Chad will be in Colorado snowboarding with his best friend from Kansas. I'm actually excited to have my mom to myself. It will be a short visit, so we won't really do anything. She's just excited to play with the boys.
The boys have been really good lately. Adam's new thing is to hit stuff when he's frustrated. The other day he was mad about something and walked up to my dresser and hit it. It's hard to not laugh. But it's definitely not funny when he hits me or Jack. That's when "time out" comes in play. Adam also has discovered how to get Jack away from him. He does this loud scream/yell. If Jack even accidentally touches him he freaks out.
Jack is more verbal. He said his first 2 word sentence. "Bye-bye, Daddy". It was so cool to see how he understood how those words went together. He also said "bye-bye, Kinsey" the other day. Although "Kinsey" was not crystal clear. It sounded like he said "key", but I knew what he meant.

Grandma's are the best!
We had a great visit with Nancy! The boys and I picked her up at the airport on last Tuesday. Adam and Jack were being shy at first, but they warmed up fast. Nancy's first morning here was not a typical morning. Jack had woken up with puke in his crib. He must have gotten sick sometime in the night. So, that morning was full of screaming, crying and emergency baths. During the days of Wednesday and Thursday we mostly stayed home and relaxed. Well, entertaining and taking care of 2 toddlers isn't exactly relaxing, but we didn't do a whole lot. On Thursday, I went in my basement for an hour or so to start cleaning it. (This has been a huge project that Chad and I have procrastinated for awhile.) So, on Thursday, every time I decided to step away, Adam and Jack would cry hysterically. They are both clingy at this age, but this particular day was extreme. During dinner time, I let Nancy finish up with the boys and I went to start their bath. As I barely get up the stairs, Nancy annouces that Adam got sick everywhere. Poor little guy. Poor us too, it was disgusting! We decided that explained why he was so upset all day. After the boys went to bed, I checked on them an hours or so later. Adam had gotten sick again! Everywhere! Ugh! So, another emergency bath, while Nancy disinfected the crib and Chad took care of the bedding. Friday morning I got puked on. Again, emergency bath. We stayed home anticipating another puke episode, but there was none. Saturday all were healthy. Nancy and I took the boys to the mall, then we cleaned the basement. Yes, Nancy and I. We knocked it out in a couple hours and it looks great! Thanks, Nancy! Later, we went to Courtney's house to watch Kinsey for date night. (Once a month Courtney and I babysit for each other so we can go out to dinner with our hubbys!) Sunday, we didn't do much. Monday, we took the boys to lunch, then came home to play. Monday night Chad and Nancy had a bowling competition going on. They played the Wii for hours! Chad was a little bent out of shape because Nancy was giving him a run for his money! From what I heard, Chad won 9 games and Nancy won 8... until her next visit. Chad had better start practicing! Now, today is Tuesday, Nancy is gone and we are back to our same old routine.

Yummy!
Above are pictures of the boys enjoying a dessert of a Kit Kat Bar. Oh, yes, they loved it! Clearly, it was dumb on my part because 1) they just took at bath and 2) it was about 10 minutes before bedtime. Oh well, they enjoyed it. It's funny how kids just know what foods are good and naughty. I'll give Jack a bright red strawberry and he will want nothing to do with it. Then I'll hand him a brown stick and he immediately puts it in his mouth. How do they know?? Just like when I go to McDonalds, they know I've got something good, and they want it!

We love company!
We are super excited! The months of February and March are filled with visits from family. Next week Nancy will be coming to visit for a week. Then my mom and Scott are coming to visit the first weekend of March. Two weeks later Lorraine and Brooke will be here for a visit. Lastly, Bob and Nancy are coming the last week of March. Before we know it spring will be here!
