Our week has been filled with Halloween activities. The boys had their Halloween celebration at school on Thursday. They got to wear their costumes to school and walk in a school parade. Jack is a leopard and Adam is a pirate. Jack was so excited with his costume even though his outfit is actual girls clothes from Kohls. I figured he's too young to know the difference as long as we don't tell him :) Adam wanted to be Jack Sparrow. He loved his costume too, but didn't want anything to do with the hat and long hair wig that came with it.
Now for the puking of our week. Thursday morning Maya woke up saying her tummy hurt. 10 minutes later she was sick....and more sick, and more sick... It was awful! She feel asleep on my bedroom floor at 8am and slept for 30 minutes. When she woke, she was completely better. It was so strange how it hit her hard but only lasted 3 hours. Sadly, she missed her Halloween party as school.
We thought we were in the clear until Jack woke up Friday night and go sick. Literally 10 minutes after Jack puked, Adam puked. They both stayed up until 4am getting sick. Neither could even keep water down. Finally, they are somewhat better. Adam's tummy hurts and Jack got sick this morning, so they will stay home from school tomorrow. I feel fine...Chad on the other hand is now sick.
All I can say is that I am so glad we are getting new carpet next week! It was quite an ordeal to get it all ordered, but we did. We went in last weekend and picked out carpet that was originally 4.51 per sq ft but marked on sale for 1.69. We were so excited to be getting such a good carpet for so cheap. Well, come to find out it was miss marked. When I went back on Saturday to order it, the manager said they wouldn't honor that price. I emailed customer service to say how disappointed I was, and they email back saying they would honor that sale price. Yay!
We also sold all of our furniture on craigslist and have our new large sectional couch coming next week. I'm so excited for the kids to be able to watch tv downstairs without bugging and touching each other. If they are near each other they can't seem to keep their hands off each other. Drives me nuts sometimes!
I have a cute story to share. On Thursday, Adam was a bit grumpy after school. I asked him what was wrong and he said that someone took a toy from him and knocked down a tower he was building. As I was talking to him about his feelings, Jack chimes in saying, "I'm going to wrestle that kid and knock him down". Of course I talked to Jack about how that is not the answer, but I was secretly proud of him for wanting to stick up for Adam.
