Happy 4th Birthday Adam and Jack!!!

Adam and Jack had a great birthday. Adam woke up this morning asking why he had "another" birthday. I guess the party yesterday was enough. The boys woke up and daddy made them pancakes in the shape of the number 4. (I slept in and missed it...and missed taking a picture too.) After we ate breakfast, Kinsey and Junie came over while their mommy went running. Naturally, they ran around like wild animals. Around 11:00 we went to the pool. This was the boys first time in the big pool. We always do the baby pool, but since daddy was with us we got to go to the big one. After the pool, we came home and the kids took naps. We went to our favorite pizza place for dinner and had cake when we got home. Jack had a half of white cake with dinosaur candles and Adam had chocolate cake with pirate candles. To top off the night I bought some "fireworks". They were pretty lame, but the kids liked them. After we went in, the kids got baths and then I took them in the tent outside for our bedtime books. It started raining in the tent so we went in. We all had a great day. It's hard to believe they are 4! I'm so proud of them and can't wait to learn more about them as they grow. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Adam got a new pirate costume from Maya. So, of course, you'll see him in this new outfit in many picture in the future.

Birthday party!

Today was Adam and Jack's 4th birthday party. Their actual birthday isn't until tomorrow, but a Friday morning party just seems to work for us. This year it was a "camp" theme. We had tents up in the backyard, a "make your own goodie bag" station, a craft tent to make their own necklace, and lots of goodies. Basically the kids ran around and played outside and upstairs in the playroom. Adam and Jack were excited to see their friends but I still don't think that they actually understand it's their birthday. Jack was getting really rowdy towards the end of the party and of course Adam ended the party with his pirate costume on!
