Happy Halloween!

We had another great halloween! Adam was a pirate. He has been wearing that costume for weeks now. He usually likes to ride his bike in it. Jack was a lion. It was his costume two years ago. He originally was a doctor but decided he wanted to be a lion instead. Maya wore Adam's skunk costume from last year. They all looked so cute and loved every minutes of trick or treating. We just left our bowl of candy out (which was empty in no time!) and took the kids around the neighborhood with their friends.

Bill and Marilyn are the boys' favorite! They sometimes call them grandma and grandpa. Bill and Marilyn will come over and take the boys for walks in the summer.

Pumpkin time!

The kids loved picking the "guts" out of the pumpkins!

Looks who's a big girl!

Maya has recently shown interest in using utensils. I think she might be a lefty like Adam. I usually only let her eat on her own if it's bath night. She usually ends up being a hot mess!

1-1

The score has been evened! The boys have now been taking great naps for the last few days. How did I do it you wonder, well......I spanked. I only had to do it once and threaten it once. They usually get 3 warnings and the last warning is a potential spanking. That's all it took for them to stay in bed and fall asleep. I'm not sure if they were shocked that I spanked them or shocked that I followed through the threat. I hope I don't need to do it again, but I will if I need to. Ahhhh, it feels good to be in control again.

sleep deprived boys

Boys:1 Me:0

The boys have officially teamed up against me. They have been boycotting their naps lately, and decided that naptime is really wrestling time. When I go in there to tell them to get in bed, they just laugh at me. Clearly, I need to get some control. I have already taken their nightstand out of the room (I found that tipped over with the drawers out the other day), pictures off the wall (they ripped those down), and taken all toys out of their. Ugh!

Pumpkin Patch with Preschool

The boys got to go to a pumpkin patch today with school. They had a lot of fun picking pumpkins, indian corn and going on a hay ride. Maya and I went, too. We had fun until I locked my keys in the car with all 3 kids buckled in. Thankfully the fire department came and we were able to get my key. Ugh, let's hope that doesn't happen ever again!
