We're back!

Wow, we've been busy lately. Last week we took a road trip to Kansas City and Wichita. We left Saturday at 2am and arrived in KC around 1:00pm. We stayed at Chad's sisters house for a night to celebrate Brooke's birthday. The next day we drove to Wichita. We all had so much fun at Chad's parents house. The boys LOVED fishing and this time they actually could cast their own poles! We stayed their for 5 days then headed home. It took us 15 hours to get home! Needless to say, we won't be driving again, or at least for a long time! That was WAY too long for all of us! Even Lola (yes, we brought our dog on the trip) was going crazy towards the end.

The boys had preschool today. Adam was excited and had no problem going to his class. Jack on the other hand cried and the teacher had to pick him us as I left. Ugh, I hope it gets easier. I'm sure in a week or two he'll be use to it.

Adam and Jack are really in to Batman lately. They wear their masks and capes and run around the house trying to hit and kick everything. It's so nice that they have each other to play with.

Maya is doing great. She loves her brothers and wants to do everything the are. Maya and Jack have a love/hate relationship. She loves to be near him even though he usually teases her. Jack will take her pink blanket and run from her. Maya usually starts screaming and yelling "NO!" It's pretty funny to watch.

Maya is still not walking. Not even close. She did stand yesterday for about 3 seconds on her own. That's it. I suppose she doesn't need to walk since I carry her all the time! Ha!

Oh, funny thing happened today. Adam called me "Katy". He was like, "Hey, Katy, look at this". I was in shock, thinking is he talking to me? Sure enough, he was.

I'll post pictures in a few days when I have more time...

We'll miss you Jewel!

Chad's Great Aunt Jewel died yesterday. She was such an amazing woman and had a long wonderful 92 year life. I've only known her for 11 years and that just isn't long enough for me. Her and her husband, Hap (94 years old!), always made a point to visit the kids when we were in town. She knew it was her time and peacefully left us in her sleep. I will always miss her and I'm saddened for Hap, who will miss the love of his life.

Preschool

The boys officially started preschool last week. Last Tuesday was their first day. The boys were excited about school and really excited because their teachers let them bring a stuffed animal for the first day. They went right in to their classroom and didn't even bother giving me a hug or kiss. So naturally, when I came to pick them up I expected them to run in my arms and give me a hug telling me how much they missed me! Ha! When I walked to the room door to get them the teacher wanted to talk to me before I got them. Apparently, Jack got in trouble for hitting, spitting and sticking his tongue out. Ugh, I was shocked (okay, not really). Anyways, they have been to preschool twice since then. Adam is doing really well and Jack is doing better.

Gotcha!
