Back and at 'em!

One week later and the Moorefield family is finally healthy. Sunday was the first time in 5 days that the boys left the house. We definitely had cabin fever. I can't imagine how this winter will be, all couped up inside. Luckily Chad never got sick.

What's new with the boys? Well, they have been going to the gym's daycare the last several days. Adam balls his eyes out when I leave and Jack could care less. I love the fact that I can workout and have a break from the boys, and I love that they get to play with other kids. I think it's good for them to be away from me, though it's hard to leave with Adam crying. When I come to get them, Adam grabs my legs and won't let me go.

Adam will say "ho, ho, ho" when asked what Santa says. Jack usually is the one to mimic me, but not this time. Adam is also still in to throwing everything! Poor Jack has had several toys chucked at his head. How do you teach a one year old that it's okay to throw a ball but not toys? Jack's new thing is to hand me every thing. He will pick a toy or piece of paper, whatever it is, and hand it to me. This new "fun" game of his can last quite sometime. The boys are still fighting over toys and getting on each others nerves, but also having lots of fun playing together. They love to make each other laugh.

I put up a 5 foot fake Christmas tree (picture above) in the playroom. The boys seem to really like it. It has multi colored flashing lights. I cut the alphabet out of foam paper and clipped the letters to the tree. I needed safe decorations since I knew the boys would be touching them. I don't let the boys pull on the tree but they are allowed to touch it. It wouldn't be any fun having a tree if they couldn't touch it. Of course no one likes the tree more than Baxter!

We are having our good friends Jessi and Tim over for Thanksgiving. We are hoping to get a turkey pre-made so we can just make the sides. This will be the boys' first Turkey day that they can eat some real food. Can't wait to eat some pie!!

Another Moorefield down

This has been a rough week for the Moorefields. Last night I came down with the flu. Thankfully it only lasted 24 hours, but boy it was awful! Chad stayed home from work today to take care of the boys while I rested. To make things worse, today Adam got hives all over his arms, legs and butt. I'm thinking a couple more days home and we all will be better.

Free Birds

My poor babies

This weekend we had a first for both boys. Friday night Adam got sick in the middle of the night. I didn't know this until we woke up on Saturday morning to find a mess in his crib. My little guy got sick and I didn't even know it. I'm not sure if he had a stomach bug or what. The rest of the day he was a tired and had a small fever. By Sunday he felt fine. Well, last night Jack woke up in the middle of the night and got sick. Chad and I both woke at 2am to a mess! We had to change his bedding and give him a bath. I felt so sorry for him. Hopefully when the doctors office calls back they can tell me what's wrong.

Other than attending to my sick children, nothing else it new. We are still so anxious for Christmas. I'm going to get my Christmas decorations ready to be put up next weekend. I know it's early, but since we are leaving town the 2nd week in Dec. I wanted to have time to enjoy them. I'm sure Chad is just thrilled to have a tree up so early! At least the boys will enjoy it.

Nana's visit

We had a wonderful visit with Nana. The boys sure LOVE their Nana! They would run past me to get to snuggle her. I think Lorraine got more hugs and kisses in her 6 days here than I have in the last month! It was so nice for me to have a break from ALL of the dirty diapers, feedings, baths, playing, running around, and discipline. (thanks Lorraine for ALL of your help!) We did the usual shopping, lounging, eating out, etc. It was wonderful! Can't wait to see Nana again in just 6 weeks!

Trick-or-Treat!
